Nepal Health Trust’s Healthcare Initiative At Pashupati Temple

The Nepal Health Trust, committed to providing equitable health facilities to the impoverished, has undertaken significant efforts in this regard. The organisation’s foresight aims to ensure that the underprivileged receive fair access to healthcare services.

In pursuit of this objective, the Nepal Health Trust carried out a social outreach program within the premises of the revered Pashupati Temple, a prominent Hindu heritage site with expansive grounds. This location was strategically chosen due to the temple’s high influx of visitors, presenting an opportunity to serve a large number of individuals. As anticipated, a multitude of elderly individuals, men, women, and children received comprehensive physical examinations.

The healthcare services were provided by a dedicated team comprising two doctors, two lab technicians, four pharmacists, and two administrators. The Nepal Health Trust conducted tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, blood grouping, and offered medical counselling to the attendees. Furthermore, essential medicines, Oral Rehydration Formula, and masks were distributed free of charge. Special attention and medical care were also provided to individuals with disabilities.

The Nepal Health Trust perceives this healthcare service as beneficial for all participants involved and aims to extend similar initiatives to various regions across the country.
