Welcome to Nepal Health Trust

In the concept of creating a “Village of Hope” in the capital city, Kathmandu.

Nepal HealthTrust (NHT) emerges as a beacon of hope in response to the dire healthcare challenges faced by the people of Nepal. In the remote corners of the country, individuals often succumb to preventable illnesses due to the unavailability of essential medicines and the inaccessibility of hospitals. Poverty exacerbates this situation, leaving countless individuals without access to life-saving healthcare.

In light of these pressing issues, NHT is founded on the principle of combining top-notch medical facilities with compassionate care, with a particular focus on serving the impoverished segments of society. The trust seeks to uphold the values of compassion and empathy, akin to the Samaritan ethos, by providing quality healthcare services to those in need.

At the heart of NHT’s vision lies the concept of creating a “Village of Hope” in the capital city, Kathmandu. This initiative aims to establish a comprehensive healthcare facility that not only caters to the medical needs of the underprivileged but also offers holistic support and assistance. The Village of Hope serves as a model that can be replicated across the country, transforming Nepal into a haven where healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status or geographic location.

Through its innovative approach and unwavering commitment to serving the marginalized, Nepal Health Trust endeavors to bring about positive change in the healthcare landscape of Nepal, ensuring that no individual is left behind in their time of need.

Mission

To serve the most remote villages, inaccessible by roads, with the spirit of Samaritans by reaching out to them with medical services they urgently need.

Vision

We envision to become a most trusted healthcare partner to the rural communities that they can reach out to in case of medical emergencies thereby reducing the unwanted and untimely deaths.

Value

Compassion: It’s our firm conviction that first and foremost, we should be driven by compassion more than any other virtue in the field of healthcare. In the context of Nepal, the people in far-flung villages embrace the ill-fate of unwanted deaths due to a number of reasons such as the distant hospitals, lack of ambulances and dearth of healthcare professionals and many more. In view of alarming mortality news that are published in the national newspapers everyday, it’s imperative that our hearts be stirred to compassion and empathy in order to serve and save them. Apathy is but another word for hatred.

Courage: It requires tremendous courage on our part as we reach out the remote villages, inaccessible by roads, traveling through difficult mountainous terrains, sometimes even risking lives. Even the flights to the nearest airports have to face extremely harsh weather due to the high winds in the mountains making a very unpleasant journey. No wonder, healthcare professionals are so reluctant to serve people in these places. Without a spirit of sacrifice, serving people and saving lives cannot be achieved in a country like Nepal.

Collaboration: Along with compassion in our heart and courage in our soul, what we really need is a highly dedicated collaborative team to the cause of saving lives with all their expertise utilized. Healthcare professionals and organizations, international stakeholders coming together with a definite goal of saving lives can contribute much to the prevention of the health crisis the country has been facing for decades. Teamwork is central to our work. As we take the responsibility of this seemingly gigantic task as a team, no doubt, the team spirit should and will prevail.
